Your Last Day (part 2)

Hello, me again, still here? Good. So, not too long ago I spoke about how it feels to experience your last day at school or in your work place. I explained how upsetting and emotional the day can be but also how it can mark a step forward. When you finish at an old place, it usually means that you’re heading somewhere new. If this is the case, good luck to you.

So, recently (yesterday) I had my very last day at my old job. It was emotional to say the least but honestly, I was glad to have left. My job was really easy and fun but it got fairly boring and I was ready for a new challenge. I am lucky enough to now be able to have that. I have been given a new challenge. Tomorrow, I start my new job at H&M and I’m super excited.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll miss everyone that I worked with but, I’m so ready to make so many more friends at my new job and in the new sixth form that i will be attending in September.

My anxiety means that I struggle to meet new people and make new friends in new situations. However, I try to write about it positively because it helps me and I believe that it is helpful to help yourself when you need to. That sounds confusing, believe me, I know. But, it’s hard to comprehend the fact that you’re not always going to be able to help yourself. Okay, I’m making it sound worse than it actually is. Let’s move on.

Speaking of moving on, it’s difficult to move out of one job and into the other but you have to be ale to think of the benefits. Not only what you will gain from being in the new company but what you can gain from your new experiences. For example, you should be asking questions like “How is this helping me?” It’s always good to know how something is helping you because it allows you to realise if what you are doing is worth your time.

The last time I wrote a post like this, I discovered that I didn’t really have much to talk about because I was lacking in inspiration. this seems to have happened again.

To conclude, good luck in wherever you decide to go in life. Whatever you are doing, have fun and think about how this is going to benefit you.
